By working with us, you contribute to a better everyday life for thousands of people in Marks municipality. Not least your own. With us, you have the opportunity to grow – both as a person and in your professional role, while what you work on helps an entire community to thrive. Regardless of what your tasks are, you will make life a little easier for everyone who lives and works here. And that is something we highly value. Our vision is to be a close-knit municipality with a focus on people. Close to each other, our surroundings, and the future. We want to be a present community that, with calm and warmth, supports our 35,000 residents, 3,600 employees, and thousands of entrepreneurs. Every employee with us becomes significant. Together, we ensure that an entire community functions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will drive projects that truly make a difference, from securing our water supply to building safe school routes. You will step into a role where we collectively take responsibility for community building with a great deal of heart, close to those we serve.

As a project manager with us, you will have overall responsibility for the municipality's infrastructure projects, primarily within water and sewage, but also roads. You will lead the work throughout the community building process from early investigations to a completed, inspected, and handed-over project. Using our project model as a foundation, you will ensure that we create long-term community benefits and sustainable solutions for everyone who lives and works here.

Your responsibilities include:

  • being responsible for the project's budget, timeline, and goals, and leading the work whether it is done in-house or through external contractors.
  • being responsible for the preparation of decision support and technical documents, as well as reviewing investigations and supporting the work with detailed plans.
  • planning and conducting procurements of consultants, contractors, and specialist competencies in collaboration with our purchasing unit.
  • acting as a hub in the projects through close collaboration with authorities, designers, land negotiators, and your colleagues and politicians within the municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who thrives in a varied workday and is motivated by building good relationships. We believe you are a person who contributes to our consideration through attentive collaboration, and that you have an engagement that drives the project team to strive in the same direction. For us, it is important that you want to be in a developing environment, where you contribute to your colleagues and yourself continuing to grow professionally.

We see that you have a relevant technical post-secondary education, for example as an engineer in road/water, construction, or environmental science, or equivalent work experience that we consider comparable. You have a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and you hold a B driver's license for manual transmission.

We place great importance on your personal suitability and see that you are results-oriented and work ambitiously to achieve high goals. You are a natural relationship builder who takes social initiatives and easily establishes new contacts, while your collaborative skills allow you to find solutions that benefit the common goal without prestige.

The position requires security classification.
